Historic to South East Wisconsin is the Craftsman and Prairie style architecture introduced in the early 1900s. The homes of Woodstone Prairie feature varied interpretations of these classic American forms of architecture to meet the requirements of modern lifestyles. Due to their historical prominence and style complementing this unique landscape, Craftsman, Prairie, and American Bungalow are the prevailing Architectural themes in the community.

Architecture, landscape, and community amenities are controlled through an Architectural Review Committee prior to construction. Housing standards are maintained for quality and continuity in form and type of construction, site features, landscape, street lighting, signage, fencing, and other fixtures to uniquely identify Woodstone Prairie.

Housing variety is a vital component to the ambiance of Woodstone Prairie. A complimentary mix of varied housing styles and architectural treatments are anticipated. Orientation of houses is also paramount to establishing the desired neighborhood setting. While homes of similar architectural style and color can be appealing with appropriate "in-common" site design, a careful balance will be maintained by the Architectural Review Committee. At a minimum, the facade color, window pattern, trim detail, and porch/entryway detailing of adjacent homes will intentionally vary.

Each residence shall emphasize: Strong front entry expressions from the street; living area dominated designs; discreet garages; application of architectural and design details to side and rear home elevations, particularly when in view from park corridors.
